MAKING FFL AND NFA TRANSFERS EASY AND WORRY-FREE
Have you found the perfect firearm online? Changing possession of a firearm requires you to adhere to certain laws and transfer rules. Protect yourself and make sure your firearm is legally transferred. Our transfer services give you peace of mind that a swift and thorough process will take place. We make it SIMPLE and EASY for you!
FFL Transfer Fee:
At The Modern Sportsman, our transfer fee is $30 for the first item, and only $20 for each additional item. In order to receive the discounted transfer fee, all items must be transferred on the same 4473.
All transfers must be claimed and transferred within 6 months of receipt at The Modern Sportsman. Firearms not claimed within 6 months will be considered abandoned property and will be disposed of at our sole discretion.
At The Modern Sportsman, our customers are the most important aspect of our job. We have a team ready to take in your transferred items any day of the week.
Transfers will be available for pick up on the same day or the following business day after delivery depending on busy hours (i.e., Holidays).
We are currently only accepting out of state transfers from a Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) business only. Out of state private party shipments will not be accepted.
In Person Private Party transfers between 2 individuals are allowed. Cost for these type of transfers is $60.
The Modern Sportsman NOW Accepts NFA Transfers
The Modern Sportsman is accepting NFA items from FFL’s.
With the use of E Form-4’s the NFA process has never been easier!
The NFA Transfer fee at The Modern Sportsman is $100 for each NFA item

Requesting FFL copies and procedures:
Now that you purchased your firearm online you may be asking yourself “how do I go about shipping my firearm to The Modern Sportsman?”
In order to ship your firearm to us, the seller/dealer that you purchased your firearm from will need a copy of our FFL.
*We only provide our FFL to other FFL holders.
To request an FFL transfer from an out-of-state or online retailer, we ask that you please:
1. Ask the seller if they have us on file already as most seller’s will.
2. If they don’t have us on file, please email us your order number and the email address of the dealer it was purchased from. After this is done, we will send them a copy of our license!
